1.25 THP variable-speed filtration pump for permanently installed swimming pools, from the Quebec-based brand Moov. Its speed is adjustable from 30% to 120%: at low speed, it filters very discreetly and consumes little power; at high speed, it provides the flow rate necessary for backwashing and vacuuming. Dual-voltage 115 V or 230 V, built-in Wi-Fi, saltwater compatible, and ENERGY STAR certified.
Key Features
Description
A traditional pump always runs at full speed, whether filtering water or backwashing. The Moov Ai MP15AIDV adapts its speed to the need: it filters at low speed for long hours, which reduces both energy consumption and noise, then increases speed for vacuuming or backwashing. Moov claims an average electricity savings of 50% per season compared to a single-speed pump.
Two modes are offered. In manual mode, you choose the speed from 30% to 120% in 5% increments. In Auto mode, you choose a flow rate, and the pump adjusts its speed to maintain it, even as the filter begins to load. Four daily time slots, a backwash button, and a skimmer mode (a short increase in speed at adjustable intervals to better clear surface debris) round out the programming.
The screen constantly displays power consumption in watts and the speed or flow rate. Built-in Wi-Fi allows for remote control of all settings, and a digital input and RS485 (Modbus) connector allows it to be connected to an automation system.

Winterization
In Quebec, the pump must be winterized when the pool is closed: drain the basket and the pump body, disconnect both unions, then store it indoors or protect it from snow. The manufacturer specifies that damage caused by improper winterization is not covered by the warranty.

Installation and operation manual (PDF, English, French, Spanish)The French version of the manual contains translation errors. Notably, it instructs to "empty" the basket before startup, whereas you must fill it with water: the pump must never run dry. When in doubt, refer to the English version or call us.
